EMHS Conference April 12-13 at ATU

Professionals from a variety of interdependent fields will gather in Russellville for the fifth annual Arkansas Tech University Emergency Management and Homeland Security Conference on Wednesday, April 12, and Thursday, April 13.

Emergency managers, operations personnel, contract services providers, emergency and disaster management students, homeland security officials, first response coordinators, contingency planners, campus police, risk management personnel, counseling and mental health professionals, student development professionals, executive officials and senior staff members are examples of the individuals who are encouraged to attend.

Speakers scheduled to appear include: Col. Bill Bryant, director of Arkansas State Police; Dr. Erik Dahl, associate professor of national security affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif.; Jonathan Ford, cybersecurity executive for the Federal Bureau of Investigation; A.J. Gary, director of the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management; Lynda Peters, attorney and former chief prosecutor for the City of Chicago; and Steve Recca, executive director of the Center for Human Security in the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs School of Public Affairs.

Registration is $25 for a professional practitioner, $10 for a student or $50 for a vendor (including registration and a tabling opportunity).
