Educators from across the United States are at Arkansas Tech today for the annual Educator’s Fair. The fair is sponsored by Norman Career Services, and it runs from 9:00 a.m. to noon today in the Chambers Cafeteria East Dining Room.
Organizers say this is the 16th year for the fair, and education majors and students who are “interested in alternative certification” are invited to participate.
In previous years, schools from as far away as Alaska have attended the fair.
Norman Career Services officials say the Arkansas Department of Education Teacher Recruitment and Retention and the Arkansas Department of Education Office of Professional Licensure will also be on hand.
Organizers say students should be “dressed to interview,” and they should “bring resumes.”
The Educator’s Fair is one of three career fairs planned in the spring semester.
The other fairs planned include:
- Engineering and Technology Career Fair– March 9
- Spring Student and Alumni Career Fair– April 7
