Drop Off Your TeCHange, Enter to Win

Rainy conditions in Russellville have led the Arkansas Tech Office of Development to change the location for its TeCHange collection event for this month.

The collection event was scheduled for today (Wednesday, Oct. 12) in the Doc Bryan Courtyard, but it has been moved to the Alumni House and extended through Friday, Oct. 14.

Any Arkansas Tech student bringing their TeCHange coin bank to the Alumni House before 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, will entered into a door prize to receive a Tech-related door prize.

Founded in 2010, the TeCHange program challenges Arkansas Tech students to collect their spare change in a coin bank made available to every on-campus student at the beginning of each semester.

The change is pooled into a scholarship fund for Arkansas Tech students.

“From this simple act of donating their spare change, we hope that students understand that a little bit of change goes a long way in helping others,” said Alison Parks, coordinator of young alumni and student philanthropy at Arkansas Tech. “Giving to your university does not always have to be large monetary donations. Smaller contributions add up quickly.”

TeCHange coin banks are available free of charge at the Alumni House, which is located at 1313 N. Arkansas Ave. between Caraway Hall and the football practice field.
