Arkansas Tech faculty member Dr. Byra Ramsey was recognized during a retirement reception that was held in her honor at the Chambers Cafeteria East Dining Room on Tuesday.
Ramsey has served on the Arkansas Tech faculty in the College of Education for the past decade.
She was presented a plaque by Dr. Eldon Clary, dean of the College of Education, for her service to the university.
Upon completion of her time at Arkansas Tech, she’s planning to relocate to Texas to be closer to members of her family.
“I’m looking forward to being closer to family, but I want to thank all of you,” added Ramsey. “You have been wonderful friends and supporters of me, and I will miss all of you very much. You have truly been my family here.”
