Arkansas Tech University will mark the start of its academic year when faculty gather tomorrow for the general faculty meeting.

The meeting is the formal start for the 102nd session at Arkansas Tech.

During Friday’s meeting, Dr. Robert C. Brown, Tech president, will address faculty members about goals and challenges for the upcoming year.

The meeting will take place at 9 a.m. in Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center Room 300.

In addition to Dr. Brown’s address, Susie Nicholson, vice president for Student Services, Yasu Onodera, director of the International and Multicultural Student Services Office; Shauna Donnell, assistant vice president of enrollment management; and Mary Gunter, dean of the Graduate College will address the faculty about the students who will be attending classes this fall at Arkansas Tech.

Following the meeting, a luncheon honoring new faculty and staff members is planned in the Chambers Cafeteria East Dining Room.  During the luncheon, new faculty and staff at Arkansas Tech will be introduced.
