Disability Awareness Week at ATU March 9-12

The Arkansas Tech University chapter of Delta Sigma Omicron, a rehabilitation service fraternity, has planned a series of activities for Disability Awareness Week 2020.

All members of the university community are invited to participate in the following programs.

Individuals will share personal stories about living with disabilities.

Advocacy 101
Wednesday, March 11
11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Outside Baswell Techionery
Learn about combating stigma, appropriate nomenclature and person first language.

Therapeutic Recreation and Adaptive Physical Education
Thursday, March 12
4 p.m.
Hull Physical Education Building Gym (Room 122)
Participate in sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball and more.
