Demons Top Golden Suns 6-1

NCAA Division I member Northwestern State University (La.) defeated Arkansas Tech University 6-1 in a non-conference match at Conway on Sunday.

The match was played under NCAA Division I rules, meaning that the best-of-three doubles competition only counted for one point. Each singles match was worth one point.

Arkansas Tech took 2-of-3 doubles matches to earn that point, but the Demons rallied to win all six singles matches.

The Golden Suns (2-4) will host nationally-ranked Northeastern State University (Okla.) for a 2 p.m. non-conference match at the Chartwells Women’s Sports Complex on Wednesday, March 2. Admission will be free.
