Bruce Curl has been selected to serve as interim human resources director for Arkansas Tech University effective Monday, Feb. 6.
Curl brings 37 years of human resources professional and administrative experience. He has served at five institutions of higher education, including work as interim director of human resources at Northwood University in Midland, Mich., from November 2015-March 2016 and Bluefield State College in Bluefield, W.Va., from November 2012-January 2013. He was director of human resources at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyo., from June 1984-June 2007.
His experience in human resources includes administering human resource policies and procedures as well as classification and compensation programs; evaluating HR processes; the development of manuals, employee handbooks, administrative reports and studies; and assisting divisions with faculty and staff training and development.
Curl will provide leadership for the university’s human resources department until the university completes the search for a permanent director.
