Arkansas Tech University sophomore Carly Copeland will grace the Miss Arkansas stage next summer in Hot Springs.
Copeland, a native of Clarksville, was crowned Miss Arkansas Valley Saturday evening.
This will be her third time to compete in Miss Arkansas, and she is currently the 2016 Miss Arkansas Tech University.
In addition to the funds she received at the pageant, all Arkansas Tech students competing at the Miss Arkansas pageant are eligible to receive an additional $1,000 scholarship for each semester during the 2017-18 academic year from the university.
Miss Arkansas is an official preliminary to the Miss America pageant. The Miss America Organization leads the country in providing scholarships to women.
