Arkansas Tech University student Carly Copeland was honored by the Miss America Organization Saturday evening during the Miss Arkansas competition.
Copeland, the reigning Miss Arkansas Tech University, received the Miss America State Scholarship, which is presented by the Miss America Organization.
The award comes with a $1000 scholarship, which Copeland will be able to use toward her education at Arkansas Tech.
In all, seven students with Arkansas Tech ties were competing for the Miss Arkansas crown.

- Brooklyn Woodworth – Miss Ozark Highlands
