The Arkansas Tech University Department of Continuing Education has announced it will host a variety of classes in its summer schedule of courses. Among the course offerings available are classes on fitness, Facebook and several activities geared for kids.
Lisa Cochran, director of continuing education at Arkansas Tech, says the courses available that appeal to many varied and diverse interests.
The complete spring schedule includes:
- Introduction to Callanetics- Level 1: Mondays from June 4-25, 5:30-6:30 p.m.; Hull Building Room 111; Cost is $60, $55 with Tech I.D. and $50 for those older than 55. Instructor is Joy Murphy.
- Introduction to Callanetics- Level 2: Mondays from July 9-30, 5:30-6:30 p.m.; Hull Building Room 111; Cost is $60, $55 with Tech I.D. and $50 for those older than 55. Instructor is Joy Murphy.
- Insanity Fitness: Tuesdays from July 3-31, 5:30-7:00 p.m.; Hull Building Room 111; Cost is $65, $60 with Tech I.D. and $60 for those older than 55. Instructor is Danielle McDonald.
- La Fiesta de los Ninos: Tuesday, July 10, 1-5 p.m.; Lake Point Conference Center Guest House Training Room B; Cost is $25 and $20 with a Tech I.D. Instructor is Angela Sergent.
- Amateur Radio: Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 10-31, 6:30-8:30 p.m.; Lake Point Conference Center Business Services Building Training Room A; Cost is $25, $20 with Tech I.D. and $20 for those older than 55. Instructor is Arkansas River Valley Amateur Radio Foundation.
- Facebook: Thursday, July 12, 2-5 p.m.; Lake Point Conference Center Business Services Building Training Room A; Cost is $15, $10 with Tech I.D. and $10 for those older than 55. Instructor is Lisa Cochran.
- Google Photo Plus: Wednesday, July 18, 1-4 p.m.; Lake Point Conference Center Business Services Building Training Room A; Cost is $15, $10 with Tech I.D. and $10 for those older than 55. Instructor is Lisa Cochran.
