SWACURH Conference at Arkansas Tech

Student leaders from several states will be on the Arkansas Tech campus next month for a conference.  Leaders from Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma will attend the Southwest Association of College and University Residence Halls Conference (SWACURH), which will be held at Arkansas Tech on February 5-7.

The SWACURH conference brings together residence hall leaders, advisors and other representatives to discuss regional and national issues, to enhance leadership skills and to share best practices.

In all, more than 85 participants are expected to attend the conference at Arkansas Tech.

“We are honored to be selected as host for this annual event, and we look forward to showcasing our university to our colleagues involved in Residence Hall Association’s from around the region,” said Kevin Solomon, assistant dean of students.

Solomon said Arkansas Tech learned they had been chosen as the host site for the conference this summer, and members of the Residence Hall Association have been working hard to prepare for the conference.
