Complete Coverage: Arkansas Tech Commencement

Arkansas Tech University awarded more than 1,000 degrees in a 24-hour period on Friday, May 11, and Saturday, May 12, during spring 2012 commencement ceremonies at John E. Tucker Coliseum in Russellville.

On Friday evening, students from the Graduate College participated in commencement exercises.  See photos from the first commencement exercise.

On Saturday, undergraduate students from the Russellville campus were honored during two ceremonies.

Students graduating from the College of Applied Sciences and the College of Arts and Humanities were recognized during the 10 a.m. ceremony.  See photos from the 10 a.m. commencement exercise.

Students from the College of Business, the College of Education, the College of Natural and Health Sciences, the College of Professional Studies and Community Outreach and all associate degrees were honored during the 2 p.m. ceremony. See photos from the 2 p.m. commencement exercise.

During the 10 a.m. commencement ceremony, Arkansas Tech University inducted Major Gen. Ronald S. Chastain of Conway, Bill “Sleepy” Curtis of Marianna and Dr. Jo Neighbors Harper of Fort Smith into the Arkansas Tech University Hall of Distinction.  Induction into the Hall of Distinction is the highest honor Arkansas Tech can bestow upon one of its graduates.  Read more about the three individuals selected.
