Two Arkansas Tech University students will be commissioned into the United States Army in between Saturday’s commencement exercises at Arkansas Tech.
Andrew Solomon (left) and Waylon Stovall (bottom left) will commission during a special ceremony in the Doc Bryan Student Services Building Lecture Hall.
The ceremony is scheduled to begin at noon, and both students will be commissioned as active duty members of the army.
During the ceremony, Stovall will commission as a field artillery branch officer, while Solomon will join the U.S. Army as a signal branch officer.
Following Saturday’s ceremony, there is a reception planned in the Doc Bryan Student Services Building Rotunda in honor of the two students.
