The College Student Personnel Department, along with CSPA and CSP 1013 classes, is hosting a canned food drive to benefit the Main Street Mission.
Spearheaded by the College Student Personnel Association, the department will be collecting cans until Monday, Nov. 21.
Hundreds of students enrolled in more than 20 sections of the Principles of College Success (CSP 1013) orientation classes will be assisting in the food drive. The food will be given to Main Street Mission before Thanksgiving.
“We want our students to understand the importance of giving back to the community while they are in college. Hopefully, students will see the impact they can make when they collaborate,” said Savanna Knight, president of CSPA and a CSP 1013 instructor.
To contribute to the food drive, CSP 1013 students will be able to make a donation in their respective classes.
Anyone else wishing to contribute can drop non-perishable food items off in the College Student Personnel office located in Crabaugh 124.
