College of Business Recognizes Leaders

Amanda Sparks received the College of Business Leadership Award.  Sparks is from Berryville and will graduate with her bachelor’s degree in management and marketing this May. In addition to her studies, Sparks has been involved across campus in several organizations including Student Government Association, Presidential Leadership Cabinet, Dean’s Leadership Class and Student Alumni Association. Those garnering special accolades during the program include:

  • Billy Ramsey Enactus Award– Maggie Good
  • National Business Education Award– Janet McMurrin
  • College of Business Ambassador Award– Lindsey Falkenstein
  • Gary K. Burris Outstanding Accounting Scholar– William Marley
  • Robert A. Young Outstanding Business Award– Jordan Kent
  • Joseph L. Moore Outstanding Economics & Finance Award– Michael Fields and Nicholas Tackett
  • Thomas P. Tyler Excellence in Teaching Award– Dr. Pam Carr
Students inducted into the Who’s Who Among American University and College Students, Beta Gamma Sigma inductees, those earning departmental scholarships and fellowships and students earning a grade point average of 3.5 or higher were also honored during Thursday’s program.
