Class of 2014 Hears from Tech President

A sea of gold this morning as the Class of 2014 began this morning’s TECH Connect session with a greeting from Tech President Dr. Robert C. Brown.

Dr Brown encouraged the students to make their education a priority.  He added, “You’ll have a wonderful time in college at Arkansas Tech, but it’s vitally important that you also work hard during the next four years in order to obtain your degree.”

Following Dr. Brown’s welcome, SGA President Travis Flower addressed students.  He reminded students that SGA works with the administration to advance the causes of the Arkansas Tech students.

Flower also encouraged the students to get involved during their time on the Arkansas Tech campus.

Today students also met with their Bridge to Excellence mentor. Bridge to Excellence is first-year mentoring program that helps new students navigate through their first college semester.
