Chance to Help Others at Light the Night

The Arkansas Tech University International and Multicultural Student Services Office will host Light the Night 2016 on Friday, April 22, from 7:30-10 p.m. at Hindsman Tower.

The annual event provides members of the campus community and beyond with an opportunity to enjoy free food and entertainment celebrating the wide variety of cultures represented at Arkansas Tech.

In addition to food and fun, this year’s Light the Night will provide those in attendance with an opportunity to provide financial support for victims of recent earthquakes in Japan and Ecuador.

The Arkansas Tech IMSSO will give glow stick bracelets to the first 2,100 individuals who donate to support the cause. Donation tables will be set up near Hindsman Tower throughout the evening.

Tech is home to almost 500 international students from 37 countries.

Admission to Light the Night 2016 is free and open to the public.
