The Campus Environmental Coalition invited the Arkansas Tech community to celebrate Earth Day with them on Friday.
To kick off the event, they will be showing the movie “The 11th Hour” in the Doc Bryan Lecture Hall Thursday at 7 p.m.
On Friday, the Earth Day celebration begins at 10 a.m. with booths in the Doc Bryan Courtyard. Representatives from campus organizations and local companies will share information about environmental education and sustainability.
At 1:30 p.m., everyone is invited to gather at Taco Villa to walk to the downtown train depot where, at 2 p.m., there will be speakers and a panel discussion about environmental issues currently facing the world.
The event is free and open to the Tech community.
