Dozens of businesses will gather at Arkansas Tech University on Wednesday, October 31, for the annual Business, Industry and Government Career Fair.
The fair is taking place from 9 a.m.-noon in the Young Ballroom.
This year’s fair will mark the 18th year for the event, and Arkansas Tech University students will have the opportunity to meet with nearly 40 businesses taking part.
Dana Florian, director of Norman Career Services, says the fair provides several opportunities for students.
“It is critical for student to attend the fair to begin networking and becoming familiar with the career search process,” said Florian. “This is a wonderful opportunity for student to make a positive face-to- face first impression with employers. The fair can also be used as an opportunity for students to explore career options.”
Students taking part are encouraged to dress for success and have resumes and cover letters to distribute to interested companies.
