The Arkansas Tech University Department of Music will present the Fall Brass Showcase on Sunday. The concert features the University Bass Choir, and it is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. in the Witherspoon Building Auditorium.
The concert will feature the group performing “Symphony for Brass” by Herbert Haufrecht. Barrow says the piece is quite challenging and will be the highlight of Sunday’s Concert.
Other selections during the concert will include “His Humour” by Giles Farnably. Additionally, the students will break into quintets to present “Fancies, Toys and Dreams” by Farnaby and “Pavane d’ Angleterre” by Claude Gervaise.
The University Brass Choir will close its performance with “The Great Escape,” which is by Elmer Bernstein.
