Arkansas Tech University will present a concert by the ATU Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble and the ATU Brass Choir at Witherspoon Auditorium on Wednesday, March 14.
The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission will be free and open to the public.
Pieces scheduled for the ATU Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble portion of the concert include “The Seventh Degree” by Jon Oliver, “Procession of the Nobles” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, “Adagio” from “Symphony No. 3” by Camille Saint-Saëns, “Bacchanale” from “Samson and Delilah” by Camille Saint-Saëns and “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars.
The ATU Brass Choir will perform “Exuberance” by Scott Boerma, “Elegy” by Alec Wilder, “Renaissance Dances” from “The Danserye” by Tylman Susato, “Quintet” by Michael Kamen and “Sonata” from “Die Bankelsangerlieder” as edited by Robert King.
The ATU Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble is conducted by Clayton Maddox. Michael Bays, Corey Nolan, Brick Wasson and Kimiko Yamada play euphonium, while the tuba section includes Justin Baggett, Michael Barker, Abby Few, Ashton Nichols and Santiago Rodriguez.
TJ Perry serves as conductor for the ATU Brass Choir. Members of the ensemble are: David Hall, Drake Hyche, Tyler Loretz, Andy Sinay and Dalton Snow (trumpet); Garreth Atwell and Brian Wyatt (horn); Billy Brown, Seth Brown and Noah Ward (trombone); Donald McBride (bass trombone); Brick Wasson (euphonium); and Abby Few (tuba).
