The University of Arkansas-Monticello clinched the 2019 Great American Conference regular season baseball championship by sweeping a doubleheader from Arkansas Tech University in Monticello on Saturday.
The Boll Weevils (28-11 overall, 22-5 GAC) defeated the Wonder Boys 13-11 and 10-6.
Dylan Borman hit a walk-off grand slam to clinch the sweep and the league title for UAM, which is GAC baseball champion for a second consecutive year.
Arkansas Tech (27-18, 19-10) and UA-Monticello will meet again on Tuesday, April 23, for a non-conference game at Carl Baswell Field in Russellville. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
