The Arkansas Blood Institute will conduct a blood drive at Arkansas Tech University Tuesday, Feb. 2, through Thursday, Feb. 4.

The drive will be open 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. daily in the Chambers Cafeteria parking lot, 204 West O Street in Russellville.

Individuals interested in donating are asked to make an appointment at www.arkbi.org or by calling (800) 934-9415.

Appointments are preferred to help facilitate social distancing. Walk-ins will be accepted as the schedule permits.

Face coverings will be required for each person in the bloodmobile.

Donors will receive a free T-shirt and one free admission to the Museum of Discovery in Little Rock while supplies last.

Student donors are eligible to earn three service hours from ATU Student Government Association.

Individuals who have previously tested positive for COVID-19 and are 14 days symptom free are encouraged to call (479) 652-3001 and inquire about donating plasma that can be utilized to assist current COVID-19 patients.

“Only non-paid blood and plasma products can be transfused to patients in local hospitals,” said Erin Goff, account consultant with Arkansas Blood Institute.
