The 2010 Homecoming Blood Drive was a great success thanks to donors in the Arkansas Tech community.
Students, faculty and staff successfully donated approximately 200 units of blood during the drives on Wednesday and Thursday. Approximately 250 people at least attempted the process.
Those who donated received a t-shirt that donned the title “Life Savers,” a lapel pin, and free snacks and drinks.
Derick McKinney, secretary of community outreach for the Arkansas Tech Student Government Association, coordinated the event with help from student senators.
Look for the next blood drive to be held in about two months. Additionally, SGA sponsors the Battle of the Halls and Greek Week Blood Drive in the spring.
