Students, faculty and staff at Arkansas Tech University launched the institution’s observation of Black History Month 2016 with a kickoff event at Hindsman Tower on Monday, Feb. 1.
Balloons were released in recognition of the month-long celebration. Those in attendance were invited to wear black and red as a show of support for Black History Month.
A variety of cultural, educational and social activities are planned at Arkansas Tech over the coming month.
