Benjamin Pierce to Perform at Tech

The Arkansas Tech Department of Music will present musician Dr. Benjamin Pierce in concert on Monday, February 22.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Witherspoon Building Auditorium on the Arkansas Tech campus, and the concert is made possible in part by the music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

During the concert, Pierce will perform several selections on the tuba and the euphonium.

Pierce holds degrees from Bowling Green State University and the University of Michigan.

Pierce has performed with several ensembles including the Detroit Symphony, the Detroit Chamber Brass, the Brass Band of Battle Creek, the Toledo Symphony and the Flint Symphony. He has been a featured soloist with the Toledo Concert Band, and he has served as principal tubist of the Ann Arbor Symphony.

Pierce is currently the principal tubist for the Northwest Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.
