Arkansas Tech University will welcome Ben Rector Friday night as part of this year’s Homecoming festivities.
Rector will take the stage at Centennial Plaza Friday at 8 p.m.
The outdoor concert is free to Tech students and alumni wishing to attend. Organizers say the show will go on regardless of wet weather, and those attending are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and umbrellas.
Rector, an Oklahoma native, released his first two albums while attending college in Arkansas. His most recent album Something Like This was released last September and debuted at #1 on iTunes Singer Songwriter Chart and #4 on iTunes albums overall.
His music has been featured on several television programs including One Tree Hill, Drop Dead Diva, Modern Family and SportsCenter.
