Become a Tech Tradition Keeper

Arkansas Tech University students have the opportunity to showcase their commitment to the complete student experience by becoming a Tradition Keeper.

Each student becoming a Tradition Keeper will wear a special green cord at commencement, and they will be recognized in the commencement ceremony program. Additionally, students will earn the designation of Tradition Keeper on their official university transcript.

Students may become a Tradition Keeper by completing 30 out of 35 traditions in the Tech Tradition book.

The activities include many items students have likely already completed including having a photo with Jerry the Bulldog, attending athletic events and taking part in a career fair.

Students completing traditions may upload a photo as proof of completing traditions on the Student Alumni Association website or submit proof by sharing photos on Instagram using the hashtag #TechTraditions and tagging @atualumni in the photo.

Upon completing the traditions, students should email alumni@atu.edu to confirm their completion. Once confirmed, students will receive information about how to obtain their Tradition Keeper recognition cords.

For students graduating in May, all traditions should be submitted by Sunday, March 27 in order to be listed in the commencement program.
