The Golden Suns have not played at Tucker Coliseum since defeating East Central 88-61 on Dec. 7. Arkansas Tech has won 13 of its last 14 women's basketball meetings with Ouachita Baptist, and the Golden Suns are 32-3 all-time at home versus the Lady Tigers. Freshman guard Anissa Pounds (14.0 points per game), sophomore guard Cara Neighbors (13.1 points per game) and junior forward Jacinda Myers-Sanders (12.0 points per game) are the leading scorers this season for Arkansas Tech. About the Lady Tigers: Ouachita Baptist opened its 2013-14 women's basketball season with six consecutive losses. The Lady Tigers have bounced back to win two of their last four games, and their two losses during that span were both by six points or less. Senior guard Nashia James (14.9 points per game) leads Ouachita Baptist in scoring. The Lady Tigers have not defeated Arkansas Tech at Tucker Coliseum since Feb. 14, 2005. It was the Wonder Boys' lowest offensive output in a game since Jan. 31, 2009, when they dropped a 50-35 decision to Christian Brothers. Tech head coach Doug Karleskint is 76-29 in four seasons as the Wonder Boys' head coach. With one more win, he will tie Mark Downey for fourth place on the all-time wins list for Arkansas Tech head men's basketball coaches. Downey was 77-43 as Tech head coach from 2006-10. Only Sam Hindsman (355 wins from 1947-66), Marty Barnes (231 wins from 1987-99) and Deward Dopson (103 wins from 1966-73) have won more games as the Wonder Boys' head basketball coach. About the Tigers: Ouachita Baptist has lost seven of its last eight games, including a 71-69 Great American Conference setback against Southern Nazarene on Saturday. The Tigers are led by junior forward Colt Fason, who is averaging 16.4 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.
