Bash at the Ballpark 2023 has been pushed back one day to Sunday, April 30, at Arkansas Tech University’s Carl Baswell Field.

The schedule change was necessitated by the likelihood of rain in Russellville on Saturday, April 29.

The event will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday. First pitch for the Wonder Boys’ game against Harding University is scheduled for 3 p.m. Admission to Bash at the Ballpark and the game will be free and open to the public.

Founded in 2014, Bash at the Ballpark is an annual event presented by the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce that brings a carnival atmosphere to a Wonder Boys’ home baseball game.

All youth baseball and softball players are invited to meet members of the ATU baseball team and get their autographs. Free T-shirts will be handed out to the first 50 kids. All participants ages 5-12 can register to win a chance to throw out the first pitch. Kids will also have the chance to run the bases after the first game of the doubleheader.

The event also features food, giveaways, bump and jumps and a variety of other family-oriented activities.

Bash at the Ballpark 2023 sponsors include First State Bank, Feltner’s Athlete’s Corner, Friendship Community Care, Happy Jumper Inflatables, Healthy Connections, Mountain Mudd Sno Cones, New York Life, Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation and The Gunslingin’ Burger.
