Baseball Camps Begin This Week

Area athletes will be at Arkansas Tech later this week for the first of five baseball camps planned throughout the summer.

The elite exposure camp is taking place Wednesday and Thursday, and the camp is open to athletes who are 2010 or 2011 graduates.  During the camp, participants will work to polish their skills and will be able to showcase their skills in a controlled scrimmage.

The camp runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day and costs $35.

There are two all-skills camps scheduled during the summer.  The first camp is for athletes ages 7-13, and it is scheduled for June 7-10.  The second camp is open to athletes ages 14-18, and it will take place June 14-17.  Both camps run from 9 a.m.-noon each day and cost $100.

Athletes wishing to improve their pitching and catching skills will be able to take part in the pitching and catching camp, which is scheduled for June 21-24.  The camp is open to athletes ages 14-18, and the cost is $100.

There is also a hitting camp that is scheduled for July 5-8.  The camp is open to those ages 14-18, and the cost to attend is $100.
