Arkansas Tech’s Amber Cerrillos received her second consecutive Great American Conference volleyball setter of the week award from the league office on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Cerrillos (photographed), a sophomore from Michigan City, Ind., made 75 assists, 14 digs and four service aces during the Golden Suns’ wins at Southeastern Oklahoma State and Southwestern Oklahoma State last week.
For the season, Cerrillos leads the GAC in assists per set (10.41). She ranks second in the league in aces per set (0.47).
Cerrillos has earned three GAC setter of the week awards in 2011. She was also honored in that manner on Sept. 6.
The Golden Suns (21-3 overall, 8-0 GAC) will host Ouachita Baptist for a 7 p.m. match tonight (Tuesday, Oct. 11).
