Students wishing to enter the Eighth Annual Arkansas Tech University Oratory Competition will be trying out for their place in the contest today.
The Oratory Competition has been scheduled for Friday, April 27 at 7 p.m. and all students interested, regardless of major, are encouraged to try out.
Auditions for the competition will be from 3-5 p.m. in Energy Center Room 121.
Prepared speeches between 8 and 10 minutes in length are expected for the competition. Three genres will be entertained, including informative, persuasive and after dinner.
Visual aids are acceptable and should be in poster form. No multi-media aid will be allowed.
The competition on April 27 will be held in Tomlinson Room 121.
