ATU’s Bell Commissioned as U.S. Army Officer

Stephen Bell of Roland, a 2019 graduate of Arkansas Tech University, was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army during a ceremony hosted by the ATU U.S. Army ROTC program at Doc Bryan Student Services Center in Russellville on Friday, May 10.

Bell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He was a member of the U.S. Army ROTC program and University Honors at ATU.

His involvement with ROTC included service as cadet platoon leader, cadet commander and as a member of the Ranger Challenge teams in 2016 and 2017.

Bell will report for training at Fort Sill in Oklahoma before joining the 2nd Cavalry Regiment in Vilseck, Germany, as a field artillery officer.
