ATU to Host First In-Person Graduation Since 2019

Arkansas Tech University will confer approximately 1,750 academic credentials upon 2021 graduates during in-person spring commencement ceremonies this week at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field.

ATU-Ozark Campus will conduct its graduation ceremony for those completing their credential requirements in spring or summer 2021 at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 6.

Spring 2021 graduates from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville will be recognized during commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 8.

Graduates from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the College of Natural and Health Sciences and the College of eTech will walk in a 9 a.m. ceremony on Saturday.

The 1 p.m. Saturday commencement will feature graduates from the College of Arts and Humanities and the College of Business.

The final commencement ceremony of the weekend will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday. It will include graduates from the College of Education and the Graduate College.

There will be one other spring commencement ceremony at Arkansas Tech this week. It is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, May 7, and will provide individuals who graduated from ATU in 2020 with the opportunity to return to campus and participate in an in-person ceremony.

In-person commencement ceremonies at Arkansas Tech scheduled for May 2020, August 2020 and December 2020 were canceled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and replaced with virtual graduation events.

Approximately 190 members of the ATU Class of 2020 have indicated they will return for the in-person commencement ceremony in their honor on Friday, May 7.

Face coverings and social distancing will be required for those participating in or attending spring 2021 commencement at ATU.
