Arkansas Tech University student Tibor Hollmann of Joshua, Texas, finished top five in the nation in the 2023 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate fall stock market game.
Hollmann built and managed a portfolio of stocks, bonds and mutual funds using a hypothetical initial investment of $100,000. His investment outcomes over the 10-week period of the competition ranked fifth among the more than 100 teams that entered the competition.
The FBLA Collegiate stock market game is designed to test the mathematical, critical thinking, problem solving and research skills of participants.
This is not the first time Hollmann has earned acclaim for his business acumen. He was the champion of the 2023 ATU College of Business and Economic Development High School Investment Challenge and he won the individual title in the 2023 ATU High School Business Challenge.
