ATU Provides Special Summer Housing Offer for 2021

Baswell Residence Hall Interior

The Arkansas Tech University Department of Residence Life has developed a revamped summer housing rate plan that incentivizes eligible ATU students to continue their academic progress and live on campus during summer 2021.

ATU’s summer rental rates and an accompanying discount proposal were approved by the Arkansas Tech Board of Trustees during its March 2021 meeting.

As a result of the board action, current ATU students in good academic and conduct standing with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher are eligible for reduced and in some cases free summer 2021 housing.

In order to pursue the maximum discounts, participating students must complete a prescribed number of summer 2021 credit hours, sign an ATU housing contract for the 2021-22 academic year and live on campus during fall 2021.

All ATU students will receive summer 2021 housing discounts of between 11 and 40 percent. Savings will vary by which housing facility the student selects.

ATU students who complete six summer 2021 credit hours and meet the additional terms of the agreement will be eligible for additional discount credits of between $270 and $450 depending upon facility.

ATU students who complete nine summer 2021 credit hours and live in Brown Residence Hall or Turner Residence Hall during summer 2021 have the possibility of staying in those facilities at no charge for the term of the agreement once all credits are applied to their accounts.

Deadline to participate in the offer by submitting a signed summer housing contract to the ATU Department of Residence Life is Monday, May 10. The summer housing application is available at www.atu.edu/reslife/summerhousing.php.
