Four-time defending Great American Conference women’s golf champion Arkansas Tech University is the preseason favorite to win the title again in 2018-19.
The Golden Suns received eight first-place votes and a total of 64 points in voting by GAC head women’s golf coaches.
Southwestern Oklahoma State University (2nd, 55 points) and Henderson State University (3rd, 52 points) are viewed as Tech’s top competition.
Oklahoma Baptist University (4th, 39 points), Harding University (5th, 32 points), Southern Arkansas University (6th, 30 points), Southern Nazarene University (7th, 28 points), the University of Arkansas-Monticello (8th, 14 points) and Northwestern Oklahoma State University (9th, 10 points) rounded out the poll.
Head coach Amy Anderson and the Golden Suns will begin their 2018-19 season Sept. 4-5 at the Central Region Preview in Olathe, Kan.
