Nursing students at Arkansas Tech University are preparing for their careers with new simulation lab equipment thanks to a grant from the Blue and You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas.
Bentley Pew of Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield (photographed, middle) presented the $135,199 grant to Dr. Jeff Robertson, dean of the ATU College of Natural and Health Sciences, and Dr. Rebecca Burris, head of the ATU Department of Nursing.
Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield established the Blue and You Foundation in 2001 as a charitable foundation to promote better health in Arkansas. The Blue and You Foundation awards grants annually to non-profit or governmental organizations and programs that positively affect the health of Arkansans.
