The Arkansas Tech University Symphonic Wind Ensemble has been invited by Russellville Mayor Richard Harris to perform at a community ceremony commemorating the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States.

The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, on the south side of the Pope County Courthouse in Russellville. The ATU Symphonic Wind Ensemble will perform "The Star Spangled Banner," "Fanfare for the Fallen" and "America the Beautiful."

Mayor Harris will introduce a proclamation declaring Sept. 11 as Patriot Day in Russellville and the names of Arkansans who died in the terrorist attacks on 9/11 will be read.

Attendance at the commemoration will be open to the public.
