ATU Master’s Degree Listed Top 20 in National Rankings

The Arkansas Tech University Department of Emergency Management offers a master's degree that is ranked top 20 in its category in the nation.

Arkansas Tech University’s Master of Science degree in emergency management and homeland security has earned a top 20 national ranking from two evaluation agencies.

The 2019 lists from Online Schools Report and Security Degree Hub are intended to serve as resources for students seeking educational opportunities in emergency management and homeland security.

Online Schools Report considered factors such as faculty credentials, student-to-faculty ratio, graduation rates and tuition price during its review of ATU’s master’s degree in emergency management and homeland security.

Security Degree Hub recognized the ATU master’s degree in emergency management and homeland security based upon cost, salary potential for graduates and student satisfaction reviews.

Arkansas Tech has conferred more than 1,100 emergency management degrees since the late 1990s. In addition to the master’s degree in emergency management and homeland security, ATU also offers a Bachelor of Science degree in emergency management.

In 2005, ATU became the first institution of higher learning to have its degree programs accredited by The Council for Accreditation of Emergency Management Education.
