Dr. Kae Hashimoto Reed from the Arkansas Tech University Department of English and World Languages and the ATU Department of Music presented at the 51st annual meeting of the Southwest Conference on Asian Studies on Saturday, Oct. 8.
Her lecture, “Introduction to the Japanese Taiko Drum,” included information on the historical and educational dimensions of taiko drums with examples of international events and activities in the ATU community and the State of Arkansas.
