Arkansas Tech University sociology and criminal justice students have completed community service projects in support of the elderly and children in the Arkansas River Valley during the winter of 2020-21.
ATU representatives from Alpha Kappa Delta, the national honor society for sociology students, and Alpha Phi Sigma, the national honor society for criminal justice students, collected and delivered in-need items to the residents at River Chase Rehabilitation and Care Center in Morrilton and Dardanelle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
They also gathered and donated 500 food packets to benefit students at London Elementary School.
ATU introductory sociology students in classes taught by Dr. Jason Ulsperger, professor of sociology, assisted with the projects.
ATU students interested in learning more about Alpha Kappa Delta or Alpha Phi Sigma may send e-mail to email@example.com.
