ATU Choirs to Celebrate “The Romantics” February 11

The Arkansas Tech University Department of Music will present a choir concert entitled “The Romantics” on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

The performance will feature the ATU Choral Artists and the ATU University Singers. It will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Witherspoon Auditorium, 407 West Q Street on the ATU campus in Russellville. Admission will be free and open to the public.

Pieces on the program include “Liebslieder Waltzer, Opus 52” by Johannes Brahms, “Les Chansons des Roses” by Morten Lauridsen, “The Cloths of Heaven” by Mari Ésabel Valverde and “Cells Planets” by Erika Lloyd as arranged by Vince Peterson.

Dr. Katherine Rohwer, ATU assistant professor of music and director of choral activities, will conduct the choirs. Dr. Mary Trotter and Dr. Tim Smith will accompany the choirs on piano.
