ATU Choirs Plan Community Performance for Sunday

Arkansas Tech University choral music students rehearse under the direction of Dr. Ben Johns at Witherspoon Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Members of the Arkansas Tech University choral music program will offer a concert entitled “Sound in Spirit” on Sunday, Oct. 15.

The performance will begin at 2:30 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, 501 S. Phoenix Ave. in Russellville. Admission will be free and open to the public.

Groups scheduled to perform include the ATU Choral Artists, the ATU University Singers and the ATU Concert Chorale.

Dr. Ben Johns, ATU visiting director of choral activities, and Dr. Jon Clements, ATU professor of music, will serve as conductors. Dr. Mary J. Trotter, assistant professor of music, will accompany the choirs on piano.

Sam Holtkamp of Green Forest and Halle Brown of Conway will appear as student conductors.
