Kaitlin Bounds, a 2014 graduate of Arkansas Tech University, made history by capturing the overall title in the 2017 RussVegas Half Marathon on Saturday, April 22.
Bounds, 25, covered the 13.1-mile course in 1 hour, 19 minutes and 36 seconds to become the first female overall champion of the RussVegas Half Marathon.
A resident of Russellville, Bounds earned four letters as a member of the Arkansas Tech cross country program. She was named All-Gulf South Conference in 2010 and was a multiple academic all-conference honoree, earning recognition for her classroom performance in both the GSC and the Great American Conference.
