Wonder Boys Cruise Past Golden Bears

Arkansas Tech University knocked down 16 3-pointers and rolled to an 86-67 non-conference men’s basketball victory over Concordia University-St. Paul at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Saturday.

The Wonder Boys (2-0) placed five players in double figures in scoring, led by Alex Brown with 17 points. He was 6-of-12 from the field, including 5-of-9 from 3-point range.

Harris Brown and Trevin Woods added 15 points apiece for Tech, while Montrell Williams and Jerami Grace notched 10 points apiece.

Bryndan Matthews had 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Golden Bears (0-2).

Arkansas Tech will begin Great American Conference play with a 7:30 p.m. contest against East Central University at the Kerr Activities Center in Ada, Okla., on Thursday, Nov. 16.
