Area small businesses will have the opportunity to attend a variety of training sessions regarding business operations throughout the month of March.
The sessions are hosted by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, and the seminars will cover many topics including business strategies and how to market a business in a tough economy.
The regional office of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center is housed at Arkansas Tech, and it is designed to assist new, existing and expanding businesses by offering a variety of services including consulting, training and market research.
The following seminars will be offered in March:
- Low Cost Marketing Techniques – Tuesday, March 6, 2-4 p.m., Dardanelle Chamber of Commerce; Cost is $30 or $20 for chamber members. Presenter is Jennifer Terrell of the Small Business and Technology Development Center.
- Facebook ABCs for Business (Hands on) – Wednesday, March 7, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Russellville Chamber of Commerce; Cost is $35 or $25 for chamber members. Presenter is Jennifer Terrell of the Small Business and Technology Development Center.
- The Essentials of Human Resource Management – Monday, March 12, 1-4 p.m., Russellville City Hall Conference Room; Cost is $30. Presenters are Connie Holstein and Tracey Cline-Pew of the City of Russellville.
- Introduction to SBIR/STTR – Tuesday, March 13, 1-4 p.m., Arkansas Tech University Rothwell Hall Room 133; There is no cost to attend. Presenter is ASBTDC Innovation Consultant Rebecca Norman.
- Facebook Business Pages (Hands on) – Thursday, March 15, 1-4 p.m., Arkansas Tech University Rothwell Hall Room 133; Cost is $30. Presenter is Jennifer Terrell of the Small Business and Technology Development Center.
