ASBTDC Announces April Training Seminars

Area small businesses will have the opportunity to attend several training sessions on business operations throughout the month of April.

The sessions are hosted by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, and the seminars will cover many topics including business strategies and how to market a business in a tough economy.

The regional office of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center is housed at Arkansas Tech, and it is designed to assist new, existing and expanding businesses by offering a variety of services including consulting, training and market research.

The following seminars will be offered in April:

  • Preparing for a Tradeshow – Monday, April 4, 1-4 p.m., Arkansas Tech University Rothwell Hall Room 133; Cost is $35. Presenter is George Mueller, Synergyworks.
  • Intermediate QuickBooks (Hands on) – Tuesday, April 5, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Arkansas Tech University Rothwell Hall Room 213, Cost is $65. Presenter is Brandon Morris of Barons’ Inc.
  • Facebook ABC’s (Hands on) – Wednesday, April 6, 3-6 p.m., Arkansas Tech University Rothwell Hall Room 213; Cost is $30. Presenter is Cass Capen-Housely of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center.
  • How to Write a Business Plan – Tuesday, April 12, 1-4 p.m., Van Buren Chamber of Commerce; Cost is $35. Presenter is Jim Reser of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center.
  • Get Listed – Thursday, April 14, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Arkansas Tech University Rothwell Hall Room 133; Cost is $20. Presenter is Cass Capen-Housely of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center.
  • E-mail Marketing Techniques and Tips – Friday, April 15, 1-4 p.m., Arkansas Tech University Rothwell Hall Room 133; Cost is $35 and includes a 30-day software trial. Presenter is Cass Capen-Housely of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center.
  • Twitter for Business (Hands on) – Tuesday, April 19, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Arkansas Tech University Rothwell Hall Room 133; Cost is $30.
  • How to Write a Business Plan – Tuesday, April 26, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Arkansas Tech University Rothwell Hall Room 133; Cost is $35. Presenter is Jim Reser of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center.
